Every
once and a while in a lifetime someone or
something comes into your life that captures
your heart. That for us is Peaches. On a
hot day in September, Kansas and Kinnan and
I were dining at Whataburger in San Antonio
located in front of Walmart off Loop 1604
and Nacodoches. As we were leaving, we saw
a pen with puppies for sale. We Dailey
girls are puppy lovers, so we stopped just
to pet and oogle the puppies. Well as luck
would have it, they were full blood English
Mastiffs. There Dad was there, Ted E Bear
and he was gigantic, weighing in at 225.
The litter was 15 puppies and the owners had
not been successful at selling them at their
usual asking price of $1000 or so per pup.
So, they were selling the big pups at a blue
light special price of $300.00. That is
how Peaches joined the Dailey family. She
weighs no where near 225, but she has a big
head and a big heart and we love her dearly!
Peaches
loves to come to the track and ride in our
golf cart (or yours if it's handy). Just
one word of warning she likes to wear hats
and sunglasses, but if your meeting her for
the first time, best take off the hats and
sunglasses, she likes to look you in the
eye! Peaches also wanted me to tell you,
if you really want to be her friend, bring
her a small piece of candy and she'll love
you for life....
